ABOUT THE WE PLAY HARD BASKETBALL CAMP
Camp Eligibility: All boys and girls ages 8-14 are eligible to participate in the camp.
Each Camper Will Receive:
- We Play Hard Basketball Camp T-Shirt!
- Personalized We Play Hard Camp Color Photo!
- Written Individual Evaluation!
- Personalized instruction from college coaching staff and current and former college players.
Family/Multi-Session Discounts: When two or more campers register from the same family, then each camper receives a discount of $20 off the normal registration fee. Campers who sign up for two or more sessions also receive $20 off for each session.
Awards Ceremony: On the last day of camp there will be a short awards ceremony at 1:10 pm. Awards will be presented to the winners of many competitions along with best attitude, most improved, and We Play Hard awards.
What to Bring: Campers should wear proper gym attire each day. They may bring a sack lunch or bring money to purchase lunch at the Camp Store, with different menus daily.

REGULAR RATE: $270 (Early Bird Special $250 if paid by May 30th)
FAMILY RATE*: $250 ea.
MULTI-WEEK**: $250 ea.

THE STAFF
CAMP CO-DIRECTOR: Ned Mircetic

- Became the fastest coach in women’s college basketball history to reach 800 wins on December 10, 2017. Career record at Ventura College is 942-202.
- Led Ventura College Women’s Basketball Team to seven California State Championships (1996, 1997, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2010, 2014) and 15 State Final Fours.
- Ventura College won 29 Western State Conference titles in 31 seasons ('91-'22).
- Was an assistant with the 1987 VC Men’s State Championship team, and head coach of the 2009 Men’s WSC Championship men’s team.
- Teams have been recognized for academic achievement state-wide and nationally.
CAMP CO-DIRECTOR: Cynthia Hernandez

Cynthia Hernandez was part of Santa Clara high’s CIF Championship team in 2011 and was an integral part of the 2014 Ventura College Pirate state championship team. Hernandez continued her academic and playing careers at Rutgers University of the Big 10 Conference.
Hernandez returned home to begin her coaching career at VC for 3 years and soon landed back at Buena for 3 years as head coach. Hernandez has worked hard for a B.A in Labor and Management Relations, M.A in Sports Management and Kinesiology, and a Masters in education from Grand Grand University. Hernandez is now the assistant Women's Basketball Coach.
OTHER CAMP STAFF
- Other current and former college players will make up the camp staff.
- The goal of the We Play Hard Basketball Camp is to have a camper to coach ratio of 8:1 or better.
